THE CHALLENGE
Our healthcare system is under pressure from an increasing amount of elderly, chronically ill, technological advancements, and a higher expected service quality from patients. This exhausts the economic resources available to our healthcare system. If we’re to continue providing healthcare at a world class level, we’ll need creative and innovative solutions. Therefore Roche, along with a group of Danish universities, is challenging students from across the country to develop ideas that can contribute toward economic sustainability in our healthcare system.
NewGen Innovation is about challenging conventional thinking and questioning the status quo. Your idea can be big or small, and anything from an algorithm that predicts an illness, a home-testing device that can save patients time away from medical facilities, or something previously unheard of that can avert serious disease.
The only criteria your idea needs to fulfil is that it either conserves resources or time in the healthcare system, improves medical services for patients, or has a positive socio-economic impact. Be a part of the next generation of healthcare innovators.
