Learn 3D printing – Prototyping Week @SUND Hub

3d printNovember 19th to 20th we are hosting two open courses in prototyping at SUND Hub. All facilitators will have experience within the healthcare sector, but the sessions are open to anyone interested in learning how to develop a prototype.

3D printing Prototyping w. Alexander Hennings, CEO, Novipel
3D printing has been used for more than 30 years, but only recently have this technology made its accessible to a broader audience due to reduction in cost of the printer. 3D print models are used in prototyping physical objects within medical devices, architecture, custom art and design. In this session, you will learn how to print your 3D model using our newly acquired CraftBot Plus 3D printer.

What is a prototype and why do you need it – a general introduction to prototyping w. Peter Løvschall
The session will start with a general introduction to prototyping including understanding how new ideas are developed using prototypes as an early sample, model, or release of a product built to test a concept or process. Ideally, a prototype is used to initiate a dialogue with the indented users with objective: to provide you with early and inexpensive feedback in the process of validating the viability of your innovation and in the end: to avoid wrong assumptions in the development process.

These sessions have been designed for you with curiosity to the prototyping process as well as you with a need of concrete input to how to start developing an idea. All facilitators have insight and knowledge within the healthcare sector, but the methods and tools can be applied to ideas within all sectors.

About Alexander:
